CHAPEL SERVICE ON 27th September

We are really excited to be returning to Chapel (on Kirk Rd – Templeton) again this Sunday 27th September.

Chaplain Gabrielle will be sharing about the beauty of spring and how Saint Francis of Assissi taught us to care about the world we live in.

Daylight savings ends this Sunday – So don’t forget to put your clock forward an hour and Chapel service starts at 11 am

Thank You Keith from Fullblast !

Bill from Chapel a photo of our newly cleaned and water blasted sign at the Chapel of The Holy Family on Kirk Rd in Templeton! The Chapel was built for the Residents of the Templeton Centre many years ago and is still being used as a place of worship every Sunday (except when we are in lockdown). There is a vibrant Christian Community who meet each week and the service is especially adapted for those who have an Intellectual Disability. There has been a dedicated team who work behind the scenes to keep the Chapel in tip top shape and it is appreciated by the 100 plus people who meet there weekly. Thank you to Keith from fullblast.co.nz who took time out of his busy day to voluntarily clean our sign and path -to keep the path to chapel nice and safe for our disabled friends.

No Chapel This Sunday 13th September

Kia ora Chapel friends

We are intending to open Chapel for our Sunday Services as soon as Canterbury goes to level one – & will confirm this on the website in due course. We are looking forward to meeting in person again – and if you want a chaplain to visit and your Residential Service Providers are allowing visitors please phone one of the Chaplains to organise this.

On a Sunday morning there are Christian Churches live streaming Services that you can listen to and watch – for example, locally we have – South West Baptist Church, the Catholic Church and Grace Vineyard.

We look forward to meeting again in person soon.

“May the Church be a place of God’s mercy and hope, where all feel welcomed, loved, forgiven and encouraged to live according to the good life of the Gospel.”
– Pope Francis during a General Audience on June 12, 2013
